Description

Empresa de Servicios Sanitarios del Paraguay S.A. (ESSAP) is the state-owned company responsible for providing drinking water and sewage services across a large part of Paraguay. It is the country's main operator of water and sanitation infrastructure.

Its functions include managing new water and sewage connections, billing and collection, maintenance and expansion of distribution networks, and quality control of the water supplied. It also offers complementary services such as water delivery by tanker truck in areas without network coverage.

As a public company, ESSAP maintains institutional transparency mechanisms, including financial audits, publication of strategic planning documents, and reporting channels, in line with its accountability obligations to citizens.
