DIRECCIÓN NACIONAL DE CONTRATACIONES PÚBLICAS (DNCP)
Description
The National Directorate of Public Procurement (DNCP) is the Paraguayan government body responsible for regulating and overseeing public procurement processes in the country. Its main role is to ensure transparency, efficiency and competition in purchases made by public sector entities.
The DNCP manages the national public procurement system, which includes supplier registration and evaluation, the administration of tenders and auctions, and the monitoring of contracts and payments. Through open data portals, it makes information about the State's purchasing processes available to the public.
The institution also operates the Technical Higher Institute for Public Procurement, dedicated to training professionals in procurement matters. Its work is governed by Law No. 7021/2022 on Public Supply and Procurement.
